Fantasy

These are the days when apple
trees wake up in their pink snow;
The dawn of spring suns
caresses the splendor of roses;
The immaculate azure of the skies,
By the calm wave is reflected...
And the beautiful birds in love
will sing.

Here are the evenings when the ice
storm weighs down the grace of the branches:
the soft stem of the lilacs
Under the sadly leaning burden;
In the icy and misty
air We hear the aquilon moaning...
And the little birds that are cold
will suffer.

These are the nights when the shadow extinguishes
Everything that shines on earth;
The wing of the blind destiny
Palpitates in the dark mystery.
When the time comes to say goodbye,
the same fate withers everything...
And the melodious
birds will die.
